A Voice That Shakes

written by Raven J. Poole

Imagine you are a tiny boat floating on a big wavy ocean. Sometimes the waves are calm, and you can sail smoothly. Other times, the waves are huge and scary, and your boat wobbles and shakes. But guess what? Your boat can still float and keep moving forward, even when the waves are rough.

Our voices are like that little boat. Sometimes, we feel confident and strong, our voices come out clear and loud. Other times, we feel nervous, and our voices tremble and shake. But just like the boat, our voices can still be heard and make a difference, even when it is shaky.

Now think of your voice as a tiny seed. When you plant it in the ground, it might seem small and fragile. But with care and time, that seed can grow into a mighty tree, giving shade and shelter to everyone around it. Using your voice, even when it shakes, is like planting that seed. It may feel small at first, but over time, it can grow and make a big impact.

Now imagine your voice is a paintbrush. Each word you speak is a stroke of color on a canvas. Some days, your strokes might be bold and bright. Other days, they might be light and wobbly. But every stroke adds to the beautiful picture you are creating. Your voice, no matter how shaky adds to the world’s beautiful painting.

Now, let’s picture your voices as a tiny lantern in the dark. Even if it flickers and wavers, it still shines and brings light to the darkness. Your voice can light up someone’s day, even if it feels like a small, trembling flame. Every bit of light matters, and so does every word you say.

So , the next time you feel your voice shaking, remember the tiny boat, the seed, the paintbrush, and the lantern. Your voices is powerful and important, even when it trembles. By using your voice, you are planting seeds, painting pictures, and lighting up the world.

Remember, use your voice, even when it shakes. You are making a difference!

Also remember, it is okay to feel nervous. The most important thing is to keep speaking and sharing your beautiful, unique voice with the world. YOU GOT THIS!
